Independent pricing data
What does email marketing actually cost you?
Not the headline price. The price at your subscriber count, with your send volume, on the plan that actually includes what you need. Twelve providers, every figure sourced and dated.

Head to head
ActiveCampaign vs Moosend
A genuine mismatch in both directions, which makes it a useful comparison. ActiveCampaign has the deepest automation available at this price point (unlimited branching, lead scoring, split-path testing of whole workflows, and a real sales CRM) and costs two to five times what Moosend does at the same contact band, while capping sends where Moosend does not.
EmailOctopus vs Brevo
These two price on opposite axes, and that is the whole comparison. EmailOctopus charges for subscribers stored and lets you mail them ten times a month; Brevo charges for emails sent and does not care how many contacts you hold.
GetResponse vs AWeber
Two long-established providers with genuinely different propositions. GetResponse bundles things AWeber does not sell at all (webinars, a website builder, course hosting, conversion funnels) and does not cap sending on any paid plan.
Kit vs EmailOctopus
Both are aimed at people who write to an audience, and they diverge on how much of the business you want to run inside the tool. Kit sells to creators who monetise: native paid newsletters, digital product sales, a tag-based subscriber model and one of the best automation builders here, with a free tier up to 10,000 subscribers.
MailerLite vs EmailOctopus
EmailOctopus is cheaper, MailerLite does more, and for once that trade is clean enough to give a straightforward answer. If your requirement is genuinely "send a newsletter to my list", EmailOctopus wins: it is free up to 2,500 subscribers and cheaper than MailerLite at every paid band we checked, its free tier carries ten times MailerLite free, and it is UK-based, which simplifies invoicing for UK buyers.
MailerLite vs Moosend
These two are closer than their marketing suggests. On our latest check Moosend was slightly cheaper than MailerLite at every paid band from 500 to 50,000 subscribers, and it does not cap sending on any paid plan, where MailerLite Comfort allows ten sends per subscriber.
