MailerLite is the default recommendation for small and mid-sized lists that want a modern editor, real automation and a price that does not climb steeply with subscriber count. It sits deliberately below the enterprise tools on features and well below them on cost. The trade-off is a thinner CRM and no native SMS.

Automation

Visual multi-step workflows with trigger, condition and split steps on paid plans. Enough for welcome series, re-engagement and simple ecommerce flows, but the branching logic is shallower than ActiveCampaign or Drip and there is no predictive send-time on lower tiers.

Ease of use

9.0/10

The strongest onboarding of the twelve. The drag-and-drop editor is uncluttered, the campaign flow is short, and account approval is the only common stumbling block: MailerLite reviews new accounts manually before the first send.

Deliverability

8.0/10

Shared IP pools with manual account review before first send, which suppresses the list-buying that degrades a shared pool. SPF, DKIM and custom sending domains are supported on all plans including free. Dedicated IPs are an Enterprise add-on. Score reflects infrastructure and policy, not a measured inbox rate.
